Hi! I'm Colleen and I too am on the InfoCamp Seattle organizing committe for 2011. I'm Content Access Manager at Sno-Isle Libraries which means I manage projects, design, UX for Web site, Intranet and Catalog. I am so excited about InfoCamp this year. Our theme of recombination has so many possibilities, I can hear the ideas popping already!

Hi — I'm Anneliese. In addition to being a mom and all-around good egg (so they say). I'm a senior writer at Microsoft. I'm interesting in the following, in no particular order: deconstructing technobabble; the mercurial and ever-fascinating Excel; information architecture and matters of discoverability; good writing; customer-friendly experiences; absurdity in any form or location, particularly in the workplace. Looking forward to IC 2011…hope for a fuschia t-shirt this time. ;-)

Greetings all! I am Andy Szydlowski.

I work at Serials Solutions and a bizarre Software Developer / Metadata Librarian hybrid. I am really interested in talking about metadata, data management, libraries in this age we call digital and different paradigms of publishing and approaches to copyright.

I am looking forward to another smashing year at InfoCamp full of high octane conversation and coffee! I'll be on of the people running around frantically carting boxes, moving chairs and ushering foodstuffs to and fro. In between, I am excited for the all connecting and sessions.

Hello InfoCamp. I am Andrew Mottaz, CTO/CEO of Site9, makers of ProtoShare. I want to talk about Collaboration: the good, the bad and the ugly. First, I want people to share stories of collaboration gone horribly, horribly wrong (with a door prize for the funniest story?), followed by stories of astounding collaboration successes. From this, I want to identify what makes collaborative efforts succeed when they succeed, and fail when they fail. Collaboration is a fascinating topic for me, and I hope we can share some insights and hear some great war stories too.

My name is Jonathan Morgan. I'm a PhD candidate in Human Centered Design & Engineering at UW, and a Research Fellow at the Wikimedia Foundation (Lane: let's talk about this science-on-WP idea of yours!).

I attended Infocamps 2008 and 2010, and can't wait for this year's offering. I'm hoping to give a presentation on the Living Voters Guide (livingvotersguide.org), an open source, non-partisan citizen engagement project I work on. We're about to launch this year's voters guide… should be up by Saturday (fingers crossed) and I'd love to share it with you!

In my ever-diminishing spare time, I am a voracious and omnivorous reader and enjoy trail running, loud music, fresh air and looking shit up on the internet.

See you all soon!

Also, I would like to connect with people working with images and/or doing user studies involving images.

At the conference, I am going to talk about information management. Specifically, I want to Improve information management (IM) for small organizations/project managers using Plone as an IM system. Within this IM system, use pre-defined metadata elements, file naming and saving conventions, workflow, and RSS to complete the information cycle.
Loved to hear from anyone interested in this topic. Looking for some good ideas and some exciting discussion.

When I’m not in class, studying, or freelancing on research projects, I’m usually working in the School of Nursing’s IT group or as the Director of Electronic Publishing for Green Ronin Publishing. If I’m very lucky, I’ll find a way to get a Ph.D. at the intersection of games and information science, and do it somewhere with awe-inspiring graduation robes.

Hello all! My name is Eura Szuwalski and I am the Electronic Services, Instruction and Administrative librarian at the Washington Talking Book & Braille Library. I have my MILS from Emporia State University through their Portland campus.
My library provides recreational and informational reading for WA residents who cannot easily read standard size print, have problems holding or turning pages or have a learning disability due to an organic dysfunction, such as dyslexia. As part of my job I teach patrons and third party representatives how to download books, work on the library's website and help to make sure all the bills are paid and the building doesn't fall apart around us.
My interests are accessibility for those with print disabilities, website design, instruction and information literacy for all ages.

This is my first InfoCamp and I thank Peggy Fine and my supervisor, Danielle Miller, for making it possible for me to attend.

I'm very excited to take part and look forward to learning from all the amazing attendees.

Hello, I'm Rick Spencer. I'm finally making it to InfoCamp after three unsuccessful tries. I'm a Sr. User Interface Designer for Salesforce currently. Since 2005 I've worked in mobile, social, web, app and more. I suppose I'm always trying to find that sweet spot of great people, great project and robust creative environment.
I've found that I really like enterprise software, and I'm excited to be working on Chatter which blends social interaction design and the enterprise application problem space.
I doubt I will be talking to anyone formally about anything, but I'm always happy to talk to people who are getting their start about what makes for a good agile UX design environment. I hope to listen and learn more than anything else. See you there!

Hi – I'm Tim. I'm a 2007 (is that right?) UW MILIS grad. This is my 3rd infocamp.

From an infocamp perspective, privacy is the thing that gets me worked up these days (I'm also interested in bicycles as transportation but that's probably not what you want to talk about this weekend). As info pros, we need to do a better job ensuring we take absolute care of the information entrusted to us. RIght now the industry is doing a sucktabulous job, on just about every level (from terms of use, to data storage, to interface design, to content and on and on).

RIght now companies are getting away with monumental sloppiness, but I think privacy as whole is an issue that's going to blow up pretty soon. It's not going to be pretty ("Occupy Datacenters" anyone?)

But maybe the info pros can clean this mess up before it gets to that point…

My name is Mark and I own MRW Web Design, a small web company in Seattle that focuses on building nonprofit websites.

I admittedly know very little about IA and the like, but it's something I've always wanted to know more about, as it has a clear connection to my everyday work.

I think people (by which I mostly mean myself) sometimes assume that IA is only useful on large websites but I'm looking to learn the principles that I can apply to any size project. I thinking taking an IA mindset into any web project can really benefit the user when the final result comes around.

Hopefully I'll take a big leap forward this weekend. I can't wait!
